Problemi valanghivi

    • Above 2,800 m

Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger will prevail. In particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions the avalanche prone locations are a little more prevalent.

The avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep slopes above approximately 2800 m and in gullies and bowls. The mostly small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases. This applies in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. The wind slabs are clearly recognisable to the trained eye.

Snowpack Structure

5 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, fell on Wednesday above approximately 2200 m. In these regions in all altitude zones hardly any snow is lying. On sunny slopes as well as below approximately 2300 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
