Avalanche Activity

In some localities up to 30 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. The new snow and wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence.

Some fresh snow and the often deep wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence. Winter sport participants can release avalanches in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines.

Snowpack Structure

In some localities in some regions up to 30 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. The snowpack remains quite subject to considerable local variations. In very isolated cases weak layers exist in the centre of the snowpack, especially on shady slopes above approximately 1900 m, and on sunny slopes at elevated altitudes.
