Below 9,000 feet and on most southerly aspects to 10,000 feet shallow accumulations of new snow lie upon bare ground and avalanches are unlikely. On steep northerly aspects above 9,000 feet isolated pockets of soft slab could be triggered by backcountry recreationalists.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Periods of precipitation are expected Friday in the form of rain in the valleys and snow in high mountains. Winds are to be Southwesterly from 20-30mph. The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be LOW. In the high elevations, it will remain possible to trigger isolated pockets of soft slab to 18" depths in very steep wind loaded terrain.
