In sintesi

At the mid and upper elevations dangerous soft slabs up to 3 feet in depth lie upon weak layers and a slick October crust. Friday a fatality occurred when a snowboarder triggered a soft slab on a steep wind loaded aspect of Mt. Glory in the Southern Tetons.Of note:During the investigation stability tests at the victim's entry point showed a strong snowpack. 200 feet away tests showed extreme instability. During the past several days skiers have triggered slabs in the Togwotee and Teton Pass areas. Similar events are likely to be human triggered today. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.
