The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE. Areas of unstable snow exist. Surface slabs one to three in depth could be human triggered on steep wind loaded slopes. In some areas layers of weak faceted snow persist within and at the base of the snowpack. On steep slopes these weaknesses present the potential for mid pack and full depth hard slab avalanches to be human triggered.

Northwesterly winds overnight are expected to back to the west on Saturday and diminish to 10 to 20 miles per hour. Temperatures will be colder with morning lows in the single digits and daytime highs warming into the teens at elevation. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE in the Teton Range. Surface slabs one to three in depth could be human triggered on steep wind loaded aspects above 7,500 feet. The general avalanche hazard in the Continental Divide/Togwotee Pass and Southwest Trails/Greys River areas is also expected to be MODERATE. In these areas surface slabs one to three feet in depth could be human triggered on steep wind loaded aspects. In addition mid pack and full depth hard slab avalanches could be human triggered in steep areas with buried layers of weak faceted snow.
