In sintesi

The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW. A mostly stable snowpack, comprised of faceted snow and a variety of decomposing crusts, exists above 7,500 feet. Widespread and well developed surface hoar also persists on shaded and partially shaded aspects. Avalanches are unlikely today. However, caution is advised in cliff areas and in steep couloirs.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A cold front moving south from Idaho and Montana will increase cloud cover, decrease temperatures and bring a chance of light accumulations to the area. Expect overnight lows in the mountains near 20 before rising to 30 on Thanksgiving Day. Lows will be slightly cooler in the valley before climbing into the upper 30s during the afternoon. Ridgetop winds will be variable as the cold front passes at 5 to 15 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to remain LOW. Avalanches are unlikely. However, caution is advised in cliff areas and steep couloirs.
