Soft slab avalanches could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas above an elevation of 9,000 feet. Some potential may also persist for snowmobilers to trigger deep hard slabs in steep avalanche prone terrain. The snowpack is mostly stable below an elevation of 9,000 feet.

    Small pockets of wind slab up to two feet in depth lie upon firm old snow surfaces. These slabs could be human triggered in steep upper elevation avalanche starting zones and cliff areas and may become more sensitive to triggers as they are weakened by sunlight and increasing temperatures.
