The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Soft slabs up to three in depth exist. These slabs lie upon slick sun crusts and weak layers of faceted snow and could be triggered by backcountry users on steep wind loaded slopes. Increasing winds in the afternoon could drift snow onto avalanche starting zones and increase the hazard.
