GC10/4 Mainly dry+settled snowpack generally stable Isolated windslab gully exits and corrie headwalls cornices fragile Av haz Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: With only light snow showers expected general snowpack stability will be good in most areas. Localised areas of windslab will remain in summit gully exits and around corrie rims but these areas are not expected to be deep or extensive and should in the main be avoidable. Cornices will be fragile and prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: There will be a few light snow showers overnight then dry and settled conditions for Sunday, winds will be light generally South-Westerly, the freezing level will initially be around 800 metres rising to 1000 metres by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: Mainly dry and cool conditions have affected the area. Winds have been moderate to fresh North-Westerly, the freezing level today was around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally stable with localised areas of windslab in the tops of summit gullies and around wind sheltered corrie rims, cornices are fragile. The avalanche hazard is Low.
