Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability in most locations. Firm underfoot, with greatest remaining accumulations of snow confined to areas above 850m, on mainly North to Easterly aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Change is on the way overnight with the arrival of a cold front and cooler artic air. It will remain dry with the Freezing level lowering below summits, to around 600 metres, during the day. The variable overnight winds will freshen to become North-North-Easterly. Observed Weather Influences: Dry and cool overnight. The day has been mostly bright and clear, before becoming a little overcast towards the end of the day. The winds have been light variable, then South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in all locations. Firm, moist snow, softer at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
