Snowpack Structure

At high altitudes, 5-10 cm of fresh snow has been registered. The snow was deposited atop a hard old snowpack at high altitudes. Due to wind impact, snowdrift patches can be generated.

Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger

Avalanche danger is low, but shallow snowdrift accumulations require alertness at high altitudes, in isolated cases they can trigger a slab avalanche. Such avalanche prone locations are found in high-altitude ridgeline transitions. Isolated loose-snow avalanches are possible.
