    Areas with enough snow to ski/snowboard have a slab sitting over weak basal facets. All backcountry users should be aware that triggering an avalanche is possible from anywhere within the avalanche path.

Snowpack Summary

Wind has scoured exposed areas at tree line and above. Wind loaded locations have between 25-45cm of snow sitting over a faceted base. We realize the snowpack is shallow but the structure fits the definition for Deep Persistent Slab as the weakness is caused by a metamorphosis of snow grains at the base of the snowpack.
