In sintesi

At the upper elevations pockets of wind slab exist and could be human triggered in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. These slabs could be large enough to injure a person. Shallow loose snow sloughs are also possible in sunlit cliff areas. Carefully assess terrain and the stability of the interface between the recent new snow and the late November crust and the interface between snow layers above that crust. Use safe travel techniques. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid elevations. Very little snow exists at the lower elevations.

At the upper elevations wind slabs 6 to 18 inches in depth could be triggered by skiers or riders in steep avalanche starting zones, chutes, couloirs and cliff areas. These slabs were formed by winds that veered from the southwest to the north. These slabs may become more sensitive to human triggers during the warmest portion of the day.

Avalanche Discussion

High pressure will dominate. Skies will be mostly clear with morning valley fog or low clouds expected. Temperatures are to be in the single digits at all elevations tomorrow morning with highs reaching the upper twenties. The avalanche hazard will remain Moderate above 9000 feet. In steep terrain, soft slabs formed by winds that have veered from the south to the north over the last several days lie upon hard crusts. These slabs, although relatively small, could have depths to two feet and are most likely to be found in terrain features prone to wind loading. The avalanche hazard will be Low below 9000 feet.
