In sintesi

Triggering an avalanche is unlikely. Low snow coverage and variable, slick surfaces may make mountain travel and navigation more difficult than expected. Using sharps (crampons, ice axe, etc.) can help prevent a slip and fall in consequential terrain.

Avalanche Discussion

Today will be another day of low avalanche hazard. Other hazards, such as low snow coverage and variable surfaces for mountain travel, need to be taken into consideration. Travel may take longer than expected due to an increased need to navigate the diversity of surfaces. Sharps (crampons, ice axe, etc.) may be necessary, and can help prevent a slip and fall.  A fall in even benign terrain could have added consequences right now as many rocks, trees, and bushes are only shallowly buried or exposed.

Skin wax is another worthwhile tool to have, as lower elevation wet surfaces may lead to glopping if and when you find areas of colder, drier snow.

Low avalanche hazard days with calm weather are a great opportunity to take stock of snowpack structure, changing surfaces and general coverage and conditions. Be on the lookout for soft snow beneath harder snow, crusts with weak snow above and or below (crust/facet combo), and near surface faceting. These may become future weak layers in areas you'd like to travel in once we get more snow.
