Generelt er det stabile forhold. Nattefrost og klarvær vil gi hard og isete snøoverflaten tidlig på dagen. Der det blir sol, vil snøoverflaten myknes opp og små våte skred er mulig.

Snødekket er smelteomvandlet og de fleste steder uten betydelig lagdeling etter mildvær den siste uken. Snøoverflaten er løs og våt i lavere strøk, og blir gradvis fastere høyere opp. Kantkorn i forbindelse med skarelag er muligens intakt i høytliggende skyggesider, ellers nøytralisert av mildværet.
