Snødekket er generelt hardt og stabilt. Nokre få stadar kan det vere mogleg å løyse ut små skred i fersk fokksnø. Vær forsiktig i bratt terreng med hard snø då det kan vere lett falle og skade seg.

Snowpack Structure

I februar har det vore fleire perioder med mildvêr med plussgrader høgt til fjells. Fleire stadar er det lite snø for årstida og både på vindutsette ryggar, haugar og platå er det mange stadar bar bakke eller mykje oppstikkande stein. Snøoverflata er stort sett skare. I helga kom det nokre få cm nysnø oppå denne.

Tendency

A skier can trigger avalanches in fresh wind-drifted snow. Be aware that wind slabs might rest on weak near-surface facets some places. Take danger signs seriously.
