The new snow can be released easily, or, in isolated cases, naturally in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes and on steep shady slopes more frequent small and medium-sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and wind. In particular on very steep sunny slopes the avalanches can slide on the ground and reach medium size in isolated cases. As a consequence of the precipitation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses. Danger level 2 (moderate) will be reached towards the evening probably, but already in the afternoon above approximately 2500 m.

The new snow is bonding only slowly with the old snowpack. This snow will be deposited on a crust below approximately 2600 m. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak. The new snow will be deposited on a weakly bonded old snowpack on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2700 m. Avalanches can be released in deeper layers, mostly by large additional loads in isolated cases.

The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level.
