Avalanche danger in the morning is low, then rises to moderate as the snowpack loses its firmness. On sun-drenched steep slopes in some steep spots, naturally or skier-triggered wet-snow avalanches are then possible. Gliding snow movements are on the increase. On very steep grass-covered slopes, isolated glide-snow avalanches are possible at any time of day or night, and become more likely as the time of day progresses. Glide cracks should be seen as signs of danger.

Due to low nighttime temperatures, the snowpack can regain its firmness and form a melt-freeze crust, it is then hard and icy. During the course of the day, the snowpack on sunny slopes softens, becomes moist, at intermediate and low altitudes the snow is wet and often rotten over widespread areas. On steep north-facing slopes at high altitudes there is still a shallow, loose layer of snow.

Springtime weather, mild temperatures, brilliant sunshine, outstanding visibility. At midday at 2000 m: +4 degrees (zero-degree level above 2500m). Winds are southerly, blowing at light to moderate strength, will slowly shift to westerly during the daytime. In the afternoon, isolated harmless convective clouds will form.

On Thursday, ongoingly sunny and mild. No significant change in avalanche danger expected.
