This will bring snow initially to 1000 metres, lowering to 700 metres overnight and during the day. The winds will be strong West-South-West, then South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a damp day, with mild conditions; precipitation fell as rain throughout at all levels. The winds have been fresh to strong generally Westerly ObservedSnowStability: Steady thaw at all elevations. The old, mature and patchy snowpack although moist is generally well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
