There is fresh wind-blown snow in lee areas above the thaw limit that could be affected by skiers. Depending on how much precipitation falls on Tuesday, it may be possible to trigger avalanches in this fresh snow. Varying wind directions mean that fresh wind-blown snow can be found in different compass directions.

The wind-blown snow from the last few days is likely well-stabilized now, but at higher elevations and in northeastern lee areas, it can still be affected by skiers, and medium-sized avalanches are therefore not entirely ruled out.

If the sun comes out, it may weaken the fresh new snow and trigger naturally occurring wet avalanches in steep, sun-exposed terrain.

Det finnes fersk fokksnø i leheng over mildværsgrensa som kan påvirkes av skikjørere. Avhengig av hvor mye nedbør som kommer tirsdag, kan det være mulig å løse ut skred i denne ferske fokksnøen. Varierende vindretning gjør at fersk fokksnø kan finnes i ulike himmelretninger. Fokksnø fra de siste dagene er trolig godt stabilisert nå, men høyt til fjells i nordøstlige leheng kan middels store skred ikke helt utelukkes.

Dersom sola titter frem, kan den svekke den ferske nysnøen og gi naturlig utløste våte skred i bratt, solvendt terreng.

Lørdag og søndag har det kommet nysnø i fjellet, til dels i kombinasjon med sterk vind. Før dette har mildvær og regn ført til smelteomvandling av hele det gamle snødekke opp til 700 moh, og sannsynligvis fuktet snøoverflaten enda høyere til fjells. Sist uke kom 10–15 cm snø og la seg oppå et hardt, smelteomvandlet og bærende snødekke.

At higher elevations, mostly in northeast-facing shaded slopes, there is wind-drifted snow. This is probably well stabilized now, but as a skier, it may still be possible to trigger it in certain areas. Keep a safe distance from cornices, as it is difficult to predict when they will break.
