Avalanche Activity

New snow represents the main danger.

Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on shady slopes. Mostly the avalanches are small. The avalanches are only small and can only be released by large loads. Dry loose snow avalanches are unlikely to occcur.

Snowpack Structure

Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in the vicinity of peaks.
