Most and wet avalanches can over a wide area be released, even by a single winter sport participant and reach large size. Below approximately 2300 m medium-sized to large ground avalanches are possible.

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to rapid moistening of the snowpack over a wide area above approximately 1800 m. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation moist and wet avalanches are to be expected as the day progresses, even very large ones.
