Avalanche Activity

Wet snow slides and avalanches are possible in isolated cases. These are small.

Only isolated mostly small wet snow slides and avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. In gullies and bowls a sometimes precarious avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities.

Snowpack Structure

Below approximately 1900 m no snow is lying. The older wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to gradual and thorough wetting of the old snowpack over a wide area.
