In sintesi

The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.

Problemi valanghivi

  • New snow

    • Above 1,800 m
  • Wind slab

    • Above 1,800 m

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of snowfall and the wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form. The new snow and wind slabs are in some cases still prone to triggering.

Tendency

Some snow will fall in some regions.

Avalanche Activity

The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.

The weather report and anticipated change in the avalanche danger are uncertain. The new snow and wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence, in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation in particular above approximately 1800 m and. In particular on steep slopes natural avalanches are possible. Medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large avalanches are possible in the regions with a lot of snow. In localities where more snow falls the avalanche danger is greater.
