At high elevations today isolated pockets of slabs to eighteen inches in depth lie on wind loaded slopes and could be triggered by backcountry travellers. Very warm overnight temperatures and forecasted highs near forty will bring Spring-like conditions and provide the possibility of point slides starting from rocky areas, ridgecrests or people. Slides will run on the buried sun crust on sunny exposures and could build to dangerous size. Avalanches are unlikely in the shallow snowpack at mid and low elevations.

High pressure over the Western U.S. will continue to bring dry conditions to the Western mountains of Wyoming through midweek. With the ridge axis to the west of Wyoming, the flow aloft will remain north to northwest. Expect temperature inversions to continue tomorrow with 10,000 feet temperatures reaching into the low 40s.AVALANCHE HAZARD FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS/CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND GREYS RIVER/SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAThe general avalanche hazard for Monday morning is expected to be LOW at all elevations. Isolated pockets of slab up to 12 inches in depth could be triggered tomorrow on steep shaded aspects. In the heat of the afternoon the avalanche hazard will increase to MODERATE on sunlight aspects above 9,000 feet where surface wet loose avalanches could be triggered.
