Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche on a steep slope facing north, northeast, or east. Evade stiff, hollow-sounding snow on slopes steeper than 35 degrees. Even a small slide can be dangerous in the wrong terrain. There is still a small chance for a wet snow avalanche at lower elevations. Pay attention to how the surface snow is softening. Avoid traveling on slopes if you sink past the top of your boots.

New snow over the weekend could be enough to keep avalanche danger elevated into the start of next week.
