Dense surface slabs that were formed last week could be triggered by the weight of a single person with depths to two feet. Most terrain will show stability however areas of instability may persist on steep slopes.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )The current flow regime will keep skies mostly cloudy and continue to bring some light snowfall to the region. A couple of inches of new snow are possible overnight and again on Monday. Temperatures in the mountains will be in the teens and 20s. Winds will remain light and veer towards the north. The general avalanche hazard remains MODERATE above an elevation of 8,000 feet. Some potential may remain for humans to trigger dense surface slabs one to three feet in depth in steep terrain. The hazard below 8,000 feet is expected to be LOW.
