Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snowpack will be well bonded and stable in all locations. The snow surface will be firm and icy after an overnight refreeze, softening where exposed to direct sunlight during the day. Greatest snow amounts remain above 900 metres in gullies, around some corrie headwalls and patchy elsewhere. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will lower to around 800 metres in the early hours of this morning then slowly rise to be above the summits in the afternoon. Mainly dry with a ridge of high pressure developing over the area. Fresh North-Westerly winds will ease becoming light to moderate, South-Easterly. Observed Weather Influences: Light rain showers through the morning with some brighter spells in the afternoon. The freezing level was around 1100 metres, fresh winds were mainly from a Westerly direction.

ObservedSnowStability: The remaining snowpack is well bonded and stable in all locations. The snow surface was generally firm this morning and softened slowly through the day and a gradual thaw continues to dominate the area. Greatest snow amounts remain above 900 metres in gullies, around some corrie headwalls but it is patchy elsewhere. The avalanche hazard is Low.
