Avalanche danger is low. Main danger. naturally triggered wet-snow avalanches. Due to higher daytime temperatures, small wet loose-snow avalanches can be expected. Slabs are possible only by large additional loading above 2200m in northern aspects. Fresh snowdrift accumulations lie on E/S facing slopes near ridgelines above 2200 m.

The fresh snow and freshly generated snowdrift accumulations are forfeiting their firmness due to higher daytime temperatures. The snowpack fundament was moist up to 2200 m in all aspects and is largely stable.

Easter Monday in the Northern Alps will start with clouds and fog, on the southern flank of the Alps it will be sunny. During the morning the sun will take over the reins everywhere. As of midday in the rimline ranges and in the Mürzsteger Alps, a few harmless clouds. It will remain dry. From the west, temperatures will rise. At 2000 m at midday in Totes Gebirge: 0 degrees; in the Hochschwab Massif, -3 degrees.

On Tuesday a perturbance will arrive from the northwest. In SW regions, a bit of sunshine, then in Upper Styria rainfall will set in, the wind shift to northwesterly. In the afternoon the snowfall level will descend to nearly 1200 m. No significant change in avalanche danger levels is expected.
