Problemi valanghivi

  • Wind slab

    • Above 2,100 m
  • Wet snow

    • 1,900 m–2,400 m

Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of the moderate to strong northwesterly wind the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase.

The fresh wind slabs are mostly small and can only be released in isolated cases. The new snow of the last few days can be released by a single winter sport participant above approximately 2300 m.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow is lying on top of a quite favourable old snowpack. As a consequence of the moderate wind, the snow drift accumulations will increase in size. The new snow of the last few days is lying on a crust on wind-protected shady slopes above approximately 2300 m.
