In sintesi

The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.

Problemi valanghivi

  • New snow

    • Above 1,800 m
  • Wind slab

    • Above 1,800 m
  • Wet snow

    • Below 1,800 m

Avalanche Activity

The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.

Some snow will fall over a wide area. In all aspects large and, in isolated cases, very large avalanches are possible as a consequence of the snowfall. The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily, even by a single winter sport participant, above approximately 1800 m. Gliding avalanches can also occur, in particular on steep slopes below approximately 1800 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of snowfall and the wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form. The snowpack remains moist below approximately 1800 m.

Tendency

The weather will be partly cloudy over a wide area.
