Forecast Snow Stability: Instabilities will persist in localised areas of windslab, mainly on North through East to South-East aspects above 700 metres. Terrain affected include round coire rims, below ridge crests and tops of gullies. Fragile cornices will exist above same locations. Minor deposits of fresh windslab possible in steep wind sheltered locations, Westerly aspects above same height. Elsewhere, the snowpack will be stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: A mainly dry day with bright spells in the afternoon. A risk of a light snow shower in the morning. Moderate South-West winds will become light overnight, backing East by daybreak, gradually freshening North-East by the end of the day. The freezing level will steadily lower from 600 metres initially, to 300 metres late in the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A cold and largely dry day with the odd light snow shower in the morning and some summit cloud. Fresh Westerly wind. Freezing level was around 500 metres by early afternoon. Elsewhere, unconsolidated snow at lower elevations, wind exposed terrain is scoured and very firm snow and icy areas present at summit levels. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
