In sintesi

The avalanche danger is generally MODERATE. Main avalanche concerns today revolve around sun and daytime heating. Avoid being on or below steep slopes if they become wet and sloppy. In the higher terrain, east faces will heat up first followed by south facing slopes and then west facing later in the day. Be aware of steep slopes on all aspects becoming wet in the lower and mid elevations.

Snow and Weather

Warm weather on Monday changed conditions dramatically. Basically, it ended the "powder party" on all aspects except high elevation due north facing slopes. By late morning the sun was making brief appearances and it didn't take more than about 10 minutes before the snow surface took a hit and was wet. I did not see any significant avalanche activity today due to the warming.

Overnight, everything froze up again fairly solid. This will help counteract today's warm temperatures but you will want to pay attention to slopes that become really wet and sloppy especially in the mid and lower elevation very steep slopes.
