The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today in steep wind loaded avalanche paths above 9,000 feet. Yesterday riders triggered soft shallow surface slab avalanches and experienced a collapsing unstable snowpack on steep banks. Large deep slabs could be triggered today by riders in the steep starting zones of major avalanche paths. Use caution and avoid terrain traps.
