In sintesi

At the mid and upper elevations soft slabs one to three feet deep sit upon older hard slabs that lie upon a persistent weak base of faceted snow. The potential for humans to trigger one of these surface slabs or a large deep hard slab will increase as the day warms. These deeper hard slabs are most likely to be triggered by a snowmobile but could be triggered by a single skier, especially on steep rocky slopes with areas of thin snow cover. At the lower elevations pockets of surface slab up to 18 inches deep lie upon a base of weak faceted snow. On very steep lower elevation slopes some potential remains for humans to trigger one of these slabs.
