In sintesi

The overall avalanche danger rating for the Skyline is LOW.

If you avoid steep slopes where the wind has deposited new snow, you'll stay safe from any avalanche danger.

Snow and Weather

Mountain Weather: Snow started early this morning and we have an inch of new snow up high. Temperatures are in the mid-teens F at most locations and winds are blowing from the southwest in the moderate range. For today, 1-2" snow possible this morning. Skies will be partly cloudy this afternoon. Winds will blow from a westerly direction and shift to the to the northwest this afternoon gusting to strong on the ridgetops. Temperatures will be 25-30 F.

Current Conditions: Riding conditions are not bad right now. They are probably a bit better for skis, snowboards and snowbikes right now compared to sleds. You'll find areas of stiff snow under the newer powder.

It's looking like we should see a pretty active week of weather with decent snow accumulations starting about Tuesday.
