Weak snow formed during a dry period in November is well preserved within the snowpack on west through north through east facing terrain. Over the last week, slabs that lie over this weak snow have become less sensitive, although a chance for a single person to trigger a hard slab avalanche with depths of 1-3 feet continues to exist. These slabs could release after a slope has been tracked several times when a particularly thin, weak spot is impacted. Snowpack evaluation on a specific slope is the best method to determine its stability.
