Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw, consolidate and diminish. Snowpack stability will be good. Any remaining cornices will be prone to collapse. Greatest accumulations will remain in North to East facing corries and gullies above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Showers throughout the day will be rain at all levels. The freezing level will be above the summits. Gale force West-South-Westerly winds overnight will gradually ease to become strong by the end of the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: Mild and wet with gale force South-Westerly winds.
