Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh snow deposits are expected above 1100 metres particularly on North to East aspects. However, these are not expected to be deep or extensive and should be relatively well bonded. At lower levels the snowpack will remain wet and stable. During the afternoon fresh deposits will be found at lower elevations, but will be shallow and avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight and through the morning showers will fall as snow above 1100 metres. During the afternoon, these showers will fall as snow to progressively lower levels as the freezing level lowers. Strong winds from the South will veer, becoming Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: After some overnight snow it was a dry morning with some snow showers during the afternoon. The freezing level rose to around 1150 metres during the morning, and remained there throughout the afternoon. Winds were from the South. ObservedSnowStability: There is a covering of fresh snow above 900 metres with the greatest accumulations on North-West to North-East aspects. However, these deposits are relatively shallow and generally well bonded. Below 900 metres the snowpack is gently thawing and is generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low
