Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack, greatest accumulations of which lie on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres, will continue to consolidate and will generally be stable. The surface will be re-frozen above around 800 metres. Some, generally shallow, areas of recently deposited windslab will be present, mainly on North through East to South aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be strong North-Westerly at first, veering Northerly overnight and gradually easing to moderate and later light. It is expected to be dry throughout the period, with the freezing level around 700 metres during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Winds were strong mainly Westerly. During the morning there were some showers which fell as snow above around 900 metres. Overnight the freezing level was above all summits and lowered during the morning to be around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack continues to consolidate in the cooler conditions and the surface of the moist snowpack has started to refreeze at higher levels. Some shallow deposits of new windslab have formed in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on North through East to South-East aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
