Avalanche Activity
Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability in most locations. There may be some redistribution of snow on to very steep North West through North to North East aspects above 1000m where some localised moderately bonded windslab is possible. Where exposed, the old snowpack will remain hard or firm. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation is forecast. Winds will strengthen and become moderate to strong Southerly. Generally cold but milder later. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight snow showers on North-West winds then dry, bright and cold. Winds eased to light variable during the day. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most locations. Accumulations of localised soft windslab lie on some very steep East to South aspects above 950m. Weak warmth from the sun brought some consolidation to all new snow by late morning. There is a general covering of thin fresh snow in most places above 750m.
