Forecast Snow Stability: Deposits of unstable windslab will develop throughout the forecast period. Areas most affected will be North through East to South-East aspects mainly above 900 metres, especially in sheltered gullies around coire rims, gully tops and ridge flanks. Elsewhere, the snowpack will be firm, icy and stable. Fragile cornice development above similar aspects will also occur. In the very strong winds cross loading onto other aspects is also very likely. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight, the freezing level will lower to around 400 metres then rise to 600 metres during the day. Snow showers through the whole period falling to lower levels accompanied by very strong Westerly winds which will vary slightly in direction. either side of West. Observed Weather Influences: Last night the freezing level rose to well above the summits and we had 4-5 hours of rain at all levels this diminished alot of snow at lower levels and softened the snowpack at higher elevations. Today started dry and bright but quickly turn with blustery showers and very strong South-Westerly winds.affecting the area. The freezing level was around 900 metres but was starting to lower. ObservedSnowStability: Overnight, milder conditions with rain have helped to consolidate the snowpack. Above 950 metres the snowpack is partly frozen and firm below this level it is moist and softer. Greatest snow amounts exist on North to Easterly aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
