Avalanche Summary

A bit more snow than anticipated on Thursday means you can trigger a small avalanche at upper elevations on Friday. Look for and avoid rounded pillows of drifted snow below ridges and in gullies. Look for cracking in the snow as an indication of unstable snow. With a generally weak snowpack, any avalanche you trigger could gouge down to the ground. Avoid drifted slopes above terrain traps where small slides could bury you more easily.
