In sintesi

At the Upper elevations new snow and wind have resulted in soft slabs up to 4' in depth on steep wind loaded slopes and cliff areas. These slabs could be triggered by skiers, boarders, or snowmobilers. Yesterday slides were triggered on approach on Twin Slides on Teton Pass with a depth of 34" and on a southeast facing slope on Togwotee Pass with a depth of 42". These slabs or large loads also have the potential to pull out deeper weak layers, particulartly on Northerly aspects. At mid elevations today pockets of soft slab to 18" could be released. As clearing and warming occurs this afternoon, the possibility of wet slides will increase on steep snow covered slopes particularly at the upper elevations.
