In sintesi

The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW. Strong winds and dense new snow have created very shallow pockets of wind slab on steep, wind-loaded slopes near ridgelines. Backcountry travelers might be able to trigger one of these pockets, but the consequences should be relatively minor. Avalanches are unlikely below 9,000 feet.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Snowfall will decrease Monday as winds back to westerly and slow. Mountain temperatures will be near freezing with partly cloudy skies. The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to remain LOW Monday morning. At the upper elevations, shallow pockets of wind slab could be human triggered on steep, wind-loaded slopes near ridgelines. These slabs could sweep backcountry travelers off their feet or push them into dangerous terrain.
