In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Weak, faceted snow persists at the base of the snowpack. In steep avalanche-prone terrain, backcountry riders and skiers could trigger dangerous hard slab avalanches to the ground as well as dense surface slabs to depths of two feet. Yesterday, a ski mountaineer was swept over a cliff and perished after triggering a two foot deep surface slab on a southeast face near the summit of the South Teton at 12,100 feet.
