In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Skiers and riders have a slight chance of triggering isolated pockets of wind slab up to a foot deep in very steep, shaded avalanche starting zones. The possibility also persists for backcountry travelers to trigger full depth, hard slab avalanches on steep slopes in isolated areas. Larger triggers, such as snowmachines, may be necessary to initiate such an event.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )The general avalanche hazard is expected to be: LOW in the Teton area where backcountry users have a diminishing potential to trigger isolated pockets of surface slab to twelve inch depths in very steep, shaded terrain. MODERATE in the Togwotee Pass area where the possibility persists for skiers and riders to trigger full depth hard slabs in isolated areas in very steep terrain. Larger triggers, such as snowmachines, may be necessary to initiate such an event. MODERATE in the Southwest Trails/Greys River area where backcountry travelers have the potential to trigger full depth hard slabs in isolated areas in steep terrain as well as isolated pockets of surface slab to twelve inches in depth on very steep, shaded slopes above 8,500 feet.
