At the upper elevations areas of unstable snow persist on steep northerly aspects. Humans who venture into steep avalanche prone terrain could trigger slab avalanches up to 30 inches in depth. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and lower elevations.

The current regime of clouds and areas of light snowfall is expected to continue overnight. Skies will slowly clear by Tuesday evening. A couple of inches of new snow are possible in some areas of the mountains. Temperatures will once again rise into the 20s in the mountains and into the 30s in the valleys. Winds will back from the southwest towards the south and increase to 20 with gusts to 30 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE at the upper elevations (9,000 to 10,500 feet). Humans who venture onto very steep northerly aspects and cliff areas could trigger slab avalanches up to 30 inches deep. Below an elevation of 9,000 feet the general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW.
