Westerly winds continue to drift snow and make dangerously large avalanches likely on many northwest through north to east-facing slopes. Any avalanche on these aspects will probably break near the ground, entraining the entire snowpack. Avoid travel on or below all wind-drifted slopes. On southeast and south-facing slopes avalanches might only break 1 to 3 feet deep in the freshly drifted snow, but still, avoid any steep slope that accumulated recent drifting. Wind-sheltered low-angled slopes offer the safest and softest conditions.
