In sintesi

At the upper and mid elevations soft slabs lie in avalanche terrain. These slabs have depths to three feet at high elevations, two feet at mid elevations and lie upon crusts and lighter density snow. Although natural activity is not expected today, areas of these slabs could be released by backcountry users on a variety of aspects and not necessarily by the first person on the slope. Once triggered these slides could have severe consequences. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets. Several slides have been human triggered in the area the last two days such as the Pyramid off the south ridge of Rendezvous peak which had been skied several times before it released. On Monday a snowmobiler was killed by an avalanche in the Smith's Fork area near Afton.
